Leicester reject Crystal Palace bid for Jeffrey Schlupp
Leicester City have rejected a £9million bid from Crystal Palace for Ghanaian international Jeffrey Schlupp, according to Sky Sports.
The versatile player has found game time hard to come by under Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri this season, and looks set to leave the King Power Stadium – either in the current transfer window or at the end of the 2016/17 campaign.
West Bromwich Albion – who had a £12million bid rejected in the European summer – remain keen on brining the Ghanaian to the Hawthorns and will in all likelihood try again to convince the Foxes to relinquish their hold on Schlupp.
The 24-year-old did not even make Leicester’s squad for this past weekend’s FA Cup tie against Everton, despite Ranieri’s side missing three players to the Africa Cup of Nations as well as Andy King and Jamie Vardy due to illness.
Schlupp did not make the cut for Ghana’s 2017 AFCON squad, ostensibly because of a lack of playing time with the Foxes.
