Sfaxien signs ex-Chiefs striker

Following his disappointing stay with Swedish side Helsingborgs BK, former Kaizer Chiefs striker Matthew Rusike has joined Tunisian giants CS Sfaxien.

Reports indicate that the Tunisian side have signed Rusike on a three-year deal after his Swedish side was relegated.

Rusike left Amakhosi at the end of the 2014/15 Premier Soccer League season and had brief spells at Halmstads BK and with Portuguese club CD Nacional Madeira.

However, he later joined Helsingborgs who were relegated from the Allsvenskan to the second-tier Superettan in November.

Rusike joined Amakhosi at the start of the 2012/13 campaign following a dispute-laden move from Jomo Cosmos.

The 26-year-old saw limited game-time at Chiefs before leaving for the Iberian Peninsula when his contract expired in June 2015.

Rusike was released from camp by Kalisto Pasuwa to attend to the Sfaxien contract negotiations as his country is set heading to the 2017 CAF Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon.
