Mark Harrison joins Baroka technical team

According to local media reports, Baroka FC have roped in former Township Rollers coach Mark Harrison as their new technical director.

Harrison has been appointed to oversee the technical team and the move fuels speculation that coach Kgoloko Thobejane could be axed.

The club has confirmed the arrival of Harrison by chairman Khurishi Mphahlele although he denied speculation that head coach Thobejane had been fired.

“We haven’t fired the coach (Thobejane), instead we brought in Harrison as our technical director. He will also serve as Thobejane’s assistant,” Mphahlele tells Daily Sun.

Conte: Adapting to Premier League not easy

“We have not been scoring enough goals, which has been a concern. As the second round approaches we now know what to expect and believe Harrison will be a big help. We have a better idea on how to approach our games.”

Although Mphahlele claimed that he will lead Bakgaga Ba Mphahlele to the Absa Premiership glory, his side has been struggling to find the back of the net since the beginning of the season.

They netted 12 times in their 15 matches as they prop up the league table after losing seven games and only two wins.

Meanwhile, the Limpopo-based side ended the first round of the Absa Premiership sitting at the bottom of the standings with 14 points from 15 matches.
