Ghana to begin UAE training camp today

Ghana will begin their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations training camp in the United Arab Emirates later today.

The Black Stars arrived in the Asian country on Tuesday morning and are expected to begin their training in the Al Ain Stadium in Abu Dhabi.

The national team does not have its full compliment of 26 players just yet, with coach Avram Grant having to wait until Wednesday for some foreign-based players to arrive.

These include Daniel Amartey, Christian Atsu, Andy Yiadom, Andre and Jordan Ayew, Adam Kwarasey, Thomas Partey and Asamoah Gyan, who were in action for their clubs earlier this week.

Ghana will open their AFCON campaign with a clash against Uganda in Port-Gentil on January 17.
