Katsina United chairman says LMC directorship big challenge
The chairman of newly promoted Katsina United Aminu Balele Kurfi has said his appointment as a director on the board of the League management Company (LMC)will challenge him to do more for his club as well as the league as a whole.
The other directors for the forthcoming season are Paul Bassey (Akwa United), Emeka Inyama (Abia Warriors), Mike Idoko (Lobi Stars) and Emmanuel Adeyemi (MFM FC).
“I wish to appreciate the confidence reposed in me by my fellow club officials with my appointment on the LMC board,” Aminu said.
“It’s a massive boost and I will give everything to justify this total confidence.
“The league has made remarkable progress within such a short time and I believe we will also contribute our own quota to ensure we move it to the next level.”
Aminu, who has been involved in tennis, ensured Katsina United returned to the Nigeria premier league after a 12-year absence.
They ensured they returned to the big time in style when they won the overall Nigeria National League championship when they topped the Super 4 in Gombe recently.
