Amid speculation that Mamelodi Sundown’s winger Anthony Laffor could be on his way out of the Chloorkop side, coach Pitso Mosimane has indicated that it’s just a rumour.
Mosimane was talking to the media after their win against Maritzburg United at the Harry Gwala Stadium where the speedy Liberian netted a brace.
The former SuperSport United man was said to be unhappy and unsettled at the star studded Sundowns, and was keen for a move away from the league champions with his contract set to run out in June 2015.
The Amkhhosi are linked to his signature as well.
Mosimane, however, said 'Downs are preparing a new offer for the Liberian attacker.
"Rumours are rumours and we are busy dealing with Anthony's contract," Mosimane said
"It was the best time to play him and show us what he can do. I said prior to him, 'go there and fight for your contract and show us what you can do, we love you'.
“We want him to stay at Sundowns and I said to him 'the team wants you and needs you too and you are a Sundowns player'.
“And he said, 'coach I don't want to leave and I want to stay at Sundowns' and I said 'okay'.
"We don't operate like that, you know sometimes when the player has a contract that is lapsing, you know what happens? Where do we send our players? We send them on the stands.
“So we don't have time for rumours, we are professionals and he is our boy and we understand him."
The winger started for the first time in the 2014/15 PSL season versus the Steve Komphela’s side having made five appearances as a substitute
